Quickstart
Create an API key and your first short link.
Create an API key
In the dashboard, open your workspace's API & MCP Server page and click Create key. Give it a name and choose Full access. The key starts with tinbo_ and is shown once: copy it somewhere safe.
Only workspace admins can create keys. See Authentication for what a key may do.
Create a short link
Send the destination as url. Without a domain, the link lands on your workspace's own subdomain; without a slug, tinbo picks one.
curl https://api.tinbo.co/v1/links \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $TINBO_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{ "url": "https://example.com/spring-launch", "slug": "launch" }'The answer is 201 Created with the link:
{
"id": "lnk_…",
"domain": "acme.inbo.to",
"slug": "launch",
"shortLink": "https://acme.inbo.to/launch",
"url": "https://example.com/spring-launch",
"tags": [],
"createdAt": "2026-10-13T09:30:00.000Z"
}The full object carries every option the link has (tags, UTM parameters, geo and device rules, expiry and more). See Create a link.
List your links
curl "https://api.tinbo.co/v1/links?limit=20" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $TINBO_API_KEY"Lists come as { "data": [...], "nextCursor": "…" }, newest first, up to 100 per page (50 by default). Pass nextCursor back as cursor for the next page; it is null on the last one.
Next
- Rate limits: 300 requests per minute per workspace.
- Errors: one shape for every failure.
- API reference: tags, folders, domains and analytics.
